I had my first motorcycle around 1994. It was a 1979 Kawasaki Z400. I sold it, took about 10 years off, and got back into riding with a V-Star 1100 in 2006. Then traded that in for my current 2012 Road King Classic. I purchased it new in 2013 and now have about 45,000 miles on it. I enjoy taking long trips and cruising the backroads to get to my destination. I’ve seen and have experienced so many things along the journey. I still recall the day I rode across a bridge that did not have an upper support structure and the river 200 feet below. The openness above me, and the river below, made me think I was flying! It was like I wasn’t connected to the earth, but just the bike.
This was my first 500-mile day. I’ve come close before on trips, but never went the extra mile, so to speak! It was a fun day out, and I hope to do another or more miles in the future!
My wife is a passenger sometimes, and we’ve had great adventures together. There’s always something waiting around the next curve, and friends to meet at every stop. I cannot wait until our next trip!
