Ten Members of the Tallahassee HOG Chapter road the 500 Mile Easy Rider certification ride on June 30th 2008. This added over 5,000 miles to the National HOG Million Mile Monday total. We had a great time with great riders.

June 11, 2008 the North Florida Peckerheads headed to Franklin N.C. for their 8th annual mountain trip. Seventeen riders qualified for the 500 mile Easy Rider designation.
As is our custom each year we stop at the Troll Tavern for a beer.

Wow, less than two months after sending in my documentation for my "Easy Rider" 500 miles in 12 hours Ride I received my certificate and assorted mementos from Longdistancerider.net!

I am 65 years old and only have been riding for about 7 weeks so this was a great challenge and experience for me, but I enjoyed every minute of it and am looking forward to trying the 1,500 ride.
We left Tallahassee to travel to Jacksonville, our starting point, on October 5. On Saturday morning, we topped off our tanks at 6:00 am (EST) at Jacksonville Beach and headed west. Our first destination was Junction, Texas, where we arrived 20 hours (1200 miles) later.
